Fox Vally Folk Festival 2006

Every year on Labor Day weekend, Fox Valley Folk holds a festival in Geneva Illinois. I learned that they have been holding the festival on Island Park for thirty years! I think it's great because I live near by.

I threw my guitar in a gig bag and headed for Island Park. Island Park is an actual island along the Fox Valley River. There were several concert style performances and several small intimate workshops going on at the same time for two days! Spontaneous jam sessions were starting up all over the park. I don't know who most of the folks were that I jammed with, so I can't thank them, but I had a great time playing bluegrass tunes.
